Ounce is the traditional name for the snow leopard. Although not really in common use anymore it is still an acceptable alternative name for the species.
I assume since “snow leopard” wouldn’t have fitted into the space it made sense for the person who made it to use ounce instead.
i just want to point out that the frontal headshot of the lynx is a different species than the other two shots are
the side and fullbody are lynx canadensis, while the frontal shot is lynx lynx (canadians lynx and eurasian lynx respectively) and they have very different facial shapes, even though their anatomy is fairly similar in terms of body shape

This is a very irritated little leopard (or possibly jaguar, it’s really hard to tell from this angle) who is for some reason or another, chained in a bustling urban area surrounded by bright lights and people and being subjected to invasive photographers.
